Christmas, New Years, and yearly goals

It seems I haven't updated since before Christmas. I've been too busy sleeping and relaxing for all of that. Tomorrow life goes back to normal. *sigh*

Christmas was the same as always. I spend Christmas Eve at family Karioke night and Christmas Day at my brother's house. A good time was had by all. I got a ton of poker stuff, and a couple of other goodies as well.

The day after Christmas, I sang my solo in church ("O Holy Night"). It went well enough.

After that, I just hung out with friends and ran necessary errands (car oil change, Verizon, etc.).

Then, on the night of the 30th, buffyeas and I went to my mothers and helped with the cooking for the New Year's Eve brunch. The brunch went off without a hitch. Afterwards, userilliusion, Bernie and I came back to my apartment for a ringing in of the New Year. We made smores, played games and drank some. By the time buffyeas got home from work, I was feeling pretty good.

Yesterday was spent doing much of nothing...until loveprincess524 and psi032 showed up. We made more smores and watch some Harry Potter.

So, that's my update. Now for the yearly goals:

1) Work on myself. This is an all encompassing goal that means improve my physical, spiritual and emotional well being. It means continuing meetings, losing weight, being a more avid bible reader, and spending more time on myself.

2) Amass more knowledge. I want to read more, look how to cook better, and generally gain more knowledge.

3) Be more organized. I have got to start keeping a calendar.

4) Finish at least one writing project. I've started a novel, so I'm hoping to finish it.

I think all of these goals are attainable, so wish me good luck!!!

That's all she wrote, folks!
